CS2 minigames on CSGuessr

CSGuessr is a set of free Counter-Strike 2 minigames that run in your browser. Most of them test one skill: reading a player from a short clip of a real Premier match. Two of them test what you know about skins. There is nothing to install, and your first five rounds need no account.

What kind of minigames these are

Each game is a short round built on CS2 knowledge: watch a clip and judge the player, or look at a skin and judge the skin. A round takes well under a minute, so you can play one between matches or run a long session and climb the leaderboard.

If you searched for minigame servers or Workshop maps that run inside CS2 itself, this is something different. CSGuessr is a website, so it works on any computer or phone with a modern browser and does not touch your CS2 install or your Steam account.

The six minigames

  • Ranked: watch a clip and pick the player's Premier rating bracket, from 1–5k up to 30k+. Up to +100 CS Rating.
  • Higher / Lower: you get a reference rating. Is the player in the clip rated higher or lower? +24 right, −14 wrong.
  • Who's Higher?: two clips, two players. Pick the one with the higher Premier rating. +24 right, −14 wrong.
  • Daily Draft: the same five clips for everyone, once per UTC day. Up to 5,000 points on the daily board.
  • Mystery Skin: find the skin of the day in six guesses, with clues for weapon, type, rarity and price. No rating, just the solve.
  • Price Check: two skins of the same rarity. Pick the one that costs more on the Steam market. No rating; your best streak is kept.

Start with Ranked, the main mode, or jump straight into Higher / Lower, Who's Higher?, the Daily Draft, Mystery Skin or Price Check. The four clip modes are explained in more depth on the CS2 guessing game page, Ranked on the CS2 Premier rating guessing game, and the two skin puzzles on CS2 skin games.

Getting started

  1. Open any minigame. The clip or the skins load straight away.
  2. Play up to five rounds without a name. They are shared by every mode, the results are shown, and nothing is saved.
  3. To keep going, pick a guest name (no email address or password) or sign in with a username and password, Steam or Google. From then on your CS Rating, streaks and stats are saved.

The competitive side

Every account has a CS Rating, which starts at 5,000. Ranked, Higher / Lower and Who's Higher? move it up or down after every round, and it sets your place on the leaderboard: the all-time top 100, plus a weekly board that counts rating gained since Monday 00:00 UTC. The Daily Draft has its own board for each day, and the first finish of the day is the one that counts. Mystery Skin and Price Check never change your rating.

The clips come from the community. Players submit Premier clips with the rating they had, moderators review each one before it goes live, and the exact rating stays on the server: after a guess you see the bracket, not the number.

The collection side

Playing also earns tokens, a game-only currency for virtual cases, an inventory, an upgrader and trade-up contracts. None of it involves real money: tokens cannot be bought, and nothing can be cashed out or moved to Steam. CS2 skin games covers how each part works.

Questions

Are the CS2 minigames free?

Yes. Every minigame is free to play. There is nothing to buy that affects rating, odds or rewards.

Do I need to download anything or own CS2?

No. Everything runs in the browser. Knowing CS2 helps, because the games are about reading CS2 players and CS2 skins.

Do I need a Steam account?

No. A guest name or a username and password work too. Steam and Google sign-in are optional.

Can I play with friends?

Mostly by competing on the same thing: the Daily Draft gives everyone the same five clips, and the boards are public. See CS2 games to play with friends for what is and is not multiplayer.

Is CSGuessr made by Valve?

No. CSGuessr is an independent, community-made project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve.
